Kelly Lee James
Kelly Lee James is the host and creator of Kelly's Kountry Junction, He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma May 20th 1958. He was raised in Dallas Texas until 5 and then moved with his folks to Kansas where he started forming his musical career at age 15 in the local bars and clubs, and lived until his early 20s. Hitting the road to Tennessee in the early 80s he played on the road for 25 years sleeping in his truck, doing odd jobs and whatever he could to make ends meet. Not only stage show and dances but standup comedy in clubs and street corners..He would play a honky tonk on Saturday night and then a church on Sunday Morning. Kelly attended the Assembly of God when he was young with his Grandparents and has always had a love for God. He even attended classes at ORU in Tulsa when he could afford to get there. He moved to Joplin Missouri from Knoxville Tennessee in 1993 where he remained until the May 22nd 2012 tornado, That relocated him in a small town 20 miles away. But Kelly knows all the hard knocks and hard times has made him into the writer and entertainer to get the job done. Kelly is not only the director, writer, host and co-producer of Kelly's Kountry Junction but is also the Worship Leader of Risen Ranch Cowboy Church in Carthage Missouri by the Joplin Stockyards. His music is traditional country and some bluegrass and gospel, mixed with characters that come from his childhood. Homer Hatfield, Doc Barker, Oscar the Town Drunk, Bill McCurdy the news reporter, and Ranger Kelly are just a few you will see each week on Kelly's Kountry Junction TV Show. Kelly performs the songs he cut his teeth on. Everything from Buck Owens to Ernest Tubb. You will see him with his guest each week such as Leona William, Barbara Fairchild, Roy Rogers Jr., Pretty Miss Norma Jean, David Church, Branson On The Road and Rachel Center just to name a few. Season one rose to a top 20 show in the first year, Now season two done and making season three and picking up new stations the show is gaining new fans and ground everyday. photos
Kathy Butler, AKA Kathy Lynn is the Owner of Big Kountry Music Productions. Kathy and her husband John owned Southtown Sporting Goods Store in Joplin until the 2012 Tornado. Kathy has been a champion in the cutting horse circles. She has 18 buckles, 2 saddles, and numerous awards. Her hobbies when she can find the time is Archery, and Singing. She is on the Worship team along with Kelly. Kathy is a fine singer in her own right and has several Characters on the show but the one she most shines in is Hazel Wood of the Hazel Wood Baptist Church. With her Two teeth missing and her always wanting to be a star she keeps the airways busy with laughter on Kelly's Kountry Junction. photos
Frank Howell. Comedian Frank Howell has been part of the comical madness since day one. Kelly knew Frank was the man for the job when Frank walked up to him and said , Hey I watched 60 minutes the other night, It took me an hour. Kelly said you need to be on my show and thus the vision was born. Frank works the live crowds when they do live road shows and he and Kelly work off each other, always leaving the folks wanting more madness and music. Frank has several Characters as well but the most notable one is Cousin Dud. Watch for Frank, AKA Cousin Dud each Saturday night as he brings his own genius to the table. photos
Amy Carver. Amy Carver has recorded 3 CDs with her Gospel group Faith. Her Sisters and she sang in church growing up, and she joined the show from it's beginning. She and Kelly we're already singing partners and they brought that to the small screen every Saturday evening. She to has different Characters but her most famous alter ego is Amy Sue the weather girl. Her weather reports are rarely accurate, but she always leaves you with what's on her mind, making you to laugh and smile. Amy is the mother of three and is also on the Worship Team with Kelly at the Risen Ranch Cowboy Church. Don't miss Amy Carver. photos
Cousin Kenny Gordon. Kenny has been in the performing business for years as a cowboy singer and a chuck wagon cook. He stays in demand with his wagon and has become a fan favorite here at the Junction. Among Kenny's alter ego is a character known as Grandma Sadd, and of course he is one of Homers hunting buddies. Watch for Cousin Kenny Gordon each week as he brings laughter to the table. photos
Donnie May. Donnie is a local farmer and until Kelly's Kountry Junction had never stepped in front of a camera but he is a natural. He brings the Ozarks Mountain Man to the Junction and people are loving it. They all want a picture with Donnie when the show is on the road. Donnie plays Bubba Sadd, Dude the Hippie, and Prospector Pete, See each character each week on Kelly's Kountry Junction. photos
Darrel & Lana Ball
Darrel and Lana Ball, Husband and wife team. Lana can be seen each week a giving Homer Hatfirld what for since her main character is JoAnn Hatfield. They bring lots of smiles to the faces of the fans. Darrel plays Sammy the Barber and one of Homers fishin Buddies. They along with Jared and Travis Ball help to make up much of the comedy seen each week. photos

David Church is a great entertainer and singer from Lancaster Ohio. In spite of never having a mainstream recording he has millions of fans world wide. He and his wife Terri travel and play in towns such as Branson and Nashville. David is known for his Hank Williams tributes but he has a sound of his own as well.

Roy Rogers Jr. and his son Dustin graced the stage this season at KKJ. A three show series was made in honor of the old style Roy Rogers cliff hangers from week to week.

Pretty Miss Norma Jean from the Porter Wagoner show honored our stage and talked about her cowboy church in Branson. She sings some great standards that she made famous.

The funny man himself, Branson's number one comedian not only guest starred but became a cast member this year, The hilarious Terry Wayne Sanders brings his many faces to the table of entertainment.
Barbara Fairchild has been on the show several times and sing her hit Teddy Bear. Barbabra and her husband Roy are active in music travel and in Branson.
